Sasquatch. Bigfoot. A mysterious legend that stirs up curiosity in adults and children from around the world. The woods of Estes Park, then, are the perfect locale to celebrate all things Bigfoot — and it’s done in style.
Friday, April 12th there’s a Bigfoot-themed, ticketed dinner where you can enjoy everything from wild game meatballs to Rocky Mountain rainbow trout. Plus, you’ll be able to meet with experts on the subject. James “Bobo” Fey (a commercial fisherman who was one of Sublime’s roadies and saw his first Bigfoot in 2001) and Dr. Jeff Meldrum (who’s trained in physical anthropology and has written a book on the topic) will be there. As well as local Estes Park bigfoot experts, too.
On Saturday, April 13th, guests can attend the Bigfoot Festival in Bond Park featuring music, presentations, all-day events, an obstacle course, a beer garden, and much more. (Note: according to the event organizers, the Bigfoot 5K Race is cancelled due to weather.)
