Completed in 2021, this amazing mountain modern vacation home was designed to visually immerse its guests in the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains while providing guests the essence of modern luxury. Skye's Peak is more than a home and more than a vacation rental; it is of itself a destination -- living 3-Dimensional emotional art that puts its occupants in scale with the grandeur and beauty of nature. Just steps from Roosevelt National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park, this is place like no other from which to experience luxury mountain living.
Place yourself within a few feet of the entry and you need not take a step. You will be DRAWN THROUGH Skye's Peak's unrivaled architecture and setting -- your eyes will be pulled through the front windows and living space to the panoramic mountains beyond the wall of glass beyond. It's hard to take measure of where the outside stops and the inside begins. Your senses will be confused. Upon entry, the first of a vast portfolio of commissioned painted ursidea characters welcome you to their home. Rich wood floors are echoed by complimentary ceilings -- your only queues that you are in a home. Between is the rarified air and scenery only experienced at 8,663' elevation in the Rocky Mountains.
The Kitchen and Dining Room
To your left is a chef’s delight anchored by the 8-burner Wolfe Dual-Fuel Range topped with oiled steel range hood. This appliance might be the only thing competing with the panoramic views for your attention. No blaming the equipment for an imperfect meal. Double ovens, quartz countertops, prep & clean sinks, butlers pantry and dozens of sets of glassware and modern place settings will ensure every meal looks as good as it tastes. The dining suite offers dining for eight while the eat-in bar offers overflow for four more. A complete inventory of cooking equipment and culinary utensils is at hand, for preparing everything from a trail lunch to enjoy on your hiking adventures or the multi-course pièce de résistance. White limestone columns stand sentry all about ensuring everyone enjoys their experience. If you prefer to dine where the songbirds and the hummingbirds flit, the western deck affords lounge seating for casual bites au natural. A gas grill stands at the ready in the garage if a flame-cooked mountain meal is more your style. The BBQ chef better not get too lost in the uphill views of Rams Horn Mountain while watching over the grilled meats!
Lodging and Accommodations
When it's time to retire from the adventures of the day, the master bedroom at Skye's Peak is sublimely luxurious with it's own stunning views of the Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. This king suite is furnished with elegant furnishings and a flatscreen TV you should be ashamed to turn on given the panoramic starlit nighttime sky filling the window frames just beyond your toes. The master ensuite bathroom is a luxury destination in and of itself. We ask that you try your best to keep showers in the dual showerhead linear shower to a reasonable length lest the mountaintop views overhead lull you into a steamy trance. Don't let the mountain views concern you -- your privacy is assured save for the donkey painting keeping a lurid eye on the dual sinks, walk-in closet and soaking tub.
Downstairs, there's a sprawling family room home offering Kettler EDEN table tennis and another lounge area with gas fireplace and television. Sure, you can curl up here intending to watch TV or enjoy a movie, but our guess is that you'll end up staring out the floor-to-ceiling windows marveling at the snow-capped mountains of the Continental Divide contemplating the next day's itinerary in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Hot Tub and Deck
Just beyond the Kettler table slides a pair of towering glass doors, a luxurious hot tub awaits you. It beckons with the promise of soothing away the long miles of hiking in the park, ziplining, the thrilling white water dash, or the half-day horseback ride -- recharging you for the next day. All of this while looking out to an incomparable view of the mountains.
Downstairs offers another ensuite king bedroom, an ensuite quad twin bunk room and the fourth bedroom offers two queen beds.
