The Sponsel ExperienceGear up for a simply amazing mountain-top experience in this 4 bedroom luxury home. We'll start with the living room, which is on par with the lobby of a luxury hotel. In fact, to ever measure up to Sponsel's living room, the luxury hotel in question would also require a magnificent, face-on view of Rocky Mountain National Park — which Sponsel delivers in spades.
The Architecture at SponselPlus, this stunning Colorado spectacle is viewed through over one thousand square feet of glass, making the living room an architectural marvel in itself. Sponsel is your window into the mountains, and is a stunning example of how clean, modern architecture can marry with the beauty of nature — in all the best ways possible. The floors are comprised of rare woods, laid in the rich manner of parquetry, as well.
The Living Room and Entertainment at SponselA three-story wall of marble cradles a wood-burning fireplace that is ringed by comfortable leather seating. This sunken conversation space is a marvel to behold... and cozy as well. A boardroom-sized table topped with plate glass invites some serious hours of gaming. Not to mention topping it all off with a glorious wet bar and a full-sized pool table — plus available air conditioning in the main level.
The Hot Tub and Sauna at SponselWe can't forget to mention the hot tub, also found and conveniently accessed via the lower living room at Sponsel. There's no better way to soothe your muscles after a day of mountain exploration... or just to sip some wine and relax on your vacation. Oh, and there's a sauna as well, as you'll discover soon.
The Kitchen and Deck at SponselOnce you lay eyes on the kitchen at Sponsel, you'll know it's a chef’s grandest dream come true. While you're creating your mountain feast (or snacks for your next great hike) the massive island makes prep work a breeze. Stacked ovens and a warming drawer further enhance the myriad of vessels and tools at your disposal. All of this is crisply lit with dramatic tube lighting and views of the nature surrounding you. When you're ready to eat, Sponsel’s formal dining room — comfortably seating eight guests — is accessed through massive plate glass doors. If an outdoor feast is more your style, saunter out to the massive wrap-around deck. Resplendent with stunning views, this deck features ample seating... plus a gas grill, if the menu requires some char-broiling.
Lodging and Rest at SponselThere are many ways to venture upstairs in search of the formal sleeping suites. The opulent, curving staircase is lined with marble. But — if need or choice dictate — an elevator strategically poised just off the entry hall can whisk you there as well. Here, a pair of sublimely elegant suites awaits. The "master" of master bedrooms features a mirrored wall, which reflects the mighty king size bed and the flickering fireplace. The dressing room and attendant closet space are big enough to justify a map of their own, and the vanity is embraced by three walls of glass. The marble bathroom offers a Jacuzzi soaking tub with majestic mountain views and a shower room with a dressing area, not to mention over 100 square feet of private deck.
The ensuite queen bedroom — which faces the slopes of Ram’s Horn Mountain — has a two-story ceiling dressed in wood. A glass wall provides a view to the living lobby below as well as the bar, office, and library. The two bedrooms each (plus the family room) have exterior doorways leading to over 700 square feet of outdoor patios — and the views that they embrace.
Venturing back downstairs, you'll discover a twin suite and a sauna room — the latter of which comes complete with its own dressing room, shower, and bathroom. This electric sauna, which can comfortably seat several occupants, will soothe the troubles of modern life away as you clear your mind and prepare for your next adventure.
